A Fool's Paradise

"This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are on the other three hundred and sixty-four"
-Mark Twain-

How right Mark Twain was when he said that! While you read this, keep all your skepticism aside and trust me completely when I say that this is no prank post. The problem most of us have is that we are not really the‘calendar people;)’Before you get ideas let me clarify I am talking about our trouble with remembering important dates and events.Everyone is pretty bad at this, men more than women. We cannot keep track of where time is taking us,for this is virtually a time traveller's era.

Apart from birthdays and anniversaries there is one day which when forgotten deserves nothing but a punishment and that is today. For no reason whatsoever Fool’s Day is celebrated on April 1st.According to some it is something to do with the calendar goof ups. There are a hundred theories else but most of them escape fine justification. To know more about the origin of this day and some well known pranks like ‘The Spaghetti Harvest’,’Google turned Topeka’ and others made across the world in the past do read April Fool's Day.

People do come up with the weirdest pranks possible on this day.It is all the more fun in schools, colleges and offices. From sticking notes on someone’s back to convincing them to do something with all the cock and bull stories,we do it all.On the other side, all of us do hate being the victim on this day.We are usually on guard provided someone reminds us the date:-p.Well nobody likes to be called the ‘April Fool’,the tag kind of stays for years in the circle.

If you actually think about it,the over cautious fellows are the ones who usually fall into the ditch today, strange but true!Sometimes it gets a lot easier with them, like the saying goes “You can't fool a fool”.It is challenging and more fun to trick the smarty pants, isn’t it?A funny thing is when you are contemplating about the best trick you can pull off, there are more friends than foes who come up with a wackier plan behind your back just for you on this day. That is the only little relief we are allowed to have:-)

A discerning truth is we all are fools of sorts,do take this thought of mine lightly but seriously. We are deceived more than we deceive,by ourselves more than the world. Its just that today is an occasion to make fun of others and laugh it all off with some stoicism.Take your pick or add some to this endless list of things that fool us twenty four seven!

On a feathery note,do let me know what are your plans for the day;-)Who are you eyeing on?Who are you staying away from?Watch out and make sure that today is not your day.Have a wise one,always!:-)

PS: I tell you once more, this is not a prank post.Trust me or read all over again. This blogger is just too naive;-).
