The Search

A seagull in the sky comes flying high
To ask the sun in the queerest of a cry
Found him yet O' dear brightness my !'
A lone sun dips in the sea in his search
To ask the tide if he hides in her lurch
While she lopes after his buoyant touch
I stand still, with her kisses on my feet
And look into your eyes so naively neat
To tell the rest ' God is here come, meet '

If someone wants to be a part of your life, they'll make an effort to be in it. Don't bother reserving a space in your heart for someone who doesn't make an effort to stay.
